Project for Women and Children
Transition’s Gate has adopted a project in Ploiesti, Romania, to assist women and children caught or victimized by domestic violence, human trafficking, corruption and abuse.
Three Phase Project
Purpose
The purpose of this program is to assist the women and children who are victimized by domestic violence by providing social, psychological and legal counseling, temporary residence, employment search assistance or training and perhaps housing assistance.
Project Objectives:
- to create a competent, well trained team of professionals, capable of assisting women hindered by domestic violence
- to maintain accreditation to open and manage a counseling center
- to launch a campaign aimed to inform the district’s citizens of Romania’s domestic violence epidemic as well as the full services offered at the center
- to create domestic and international partnerships with similar organizations
