Residential Shelter
The residential shelter will be in an undisclosed location to provide the maximum amount of safety and security for women and children who are fleeing from the abuse or neglect of an aggressor in their home or environment. Though we cannot provide assistance for every woman brutally disrespected by violence, for the women and children who dare to break their silence and ask for help, these services may make the difference between life and death.
Objectives of the Residential Shelter for Women & Children
- Provide a safe, clean, pleasant living environment
- Teach personal responsibility while identifying unhealthy, destructive lifestyles
- Help bring about maturity through classes on basic living skills, health and hygiene, etc.
- Promote self-sufficiency by offering guidance in vocational training, sources of income, money management, employment, and housing
- Promote family structure and offer parenting classes
- Offer resident children love, attention, training, and activities
